The Hitch Box - Trailer hitch tool box, designed to mount on a trailer hitch. The hitch box is 70 inches wide which fits larger vehicles like full size trucks and SUV's. This box is built from thick aluminum and is designed weather tight. A lockable T-handle secures you equipment and valuables.

This 70" wide Hitch Box is designed a little wider to fit larger vehicles such as full size trucks and SUV's. Mounted out of the air stream in your Class 3 trailer hitch, it does not rob you of gas mileage. This durable box is built from 1/8" thick Aluminum Tred Plate, and the weather tight design and gasketed lid will keep out the elements.

The Hitch Box does not restrict the access to your tailgate. Properly located, you can open the barn door type or top or bottom hinged tailgate. There is almost 10 cubic feet of storage in the box, which is plenty of room for sporting gear, camping supplies, and tools. Use the tie downs to secure your cooler or beach chairs. The Hitch Box is strong enough to stand on, and strong enough to secure your valuables with the keyed lock integrated into the T handle latch (Two keys are provided with each box). Or use a pad lock to prevent the use of the latch. This feature is especially useful for securing items that several people need access to.

• When you buy a HITCH BOX you get everything you need, the box, the Extender, safety changes, two hitch pins and four bolts with washers and lock washers.
• The Hitch Box is constructed of 1/8" thick 3003 Brite aluminum tread plate. All fasteners in the box are stainless steel. The lid support is stain less steel.
• The Extender used to mount the Hitch Box is structural steel tubing. Attachment bolts are Grade #5.
• There will be open holes in the channel in the bottom of the box, but because of their location, grit, road dirt and water are not drawn into the box.
• The license plate of your vehicle may be obscured by the Hitch Box. The box is pre-drilled to accept your license plate and hardware is provided.
